Lewie shapes steel into beautiful blades and then creates fitted leather scabbards. Lewie says “My interest in knives peaked when I bought my first custom knife from Jimmy Lile. I started reading books and visiting shops and learning the craft. That was over 11 years ago and I have enjoyed it ever since.”

The drive is easy, and Lewie and wife Liz’ studios are both fitted with garage doors for a stereo theater experience that’s not to be missed.

Lewie is a member of the Arkansas Craft Guild.

Take Highway 9 south to the top of Dodd Mountain. Turn right on Hub Willis Road (across the road from Hilltop Store). Our home and studio, at 787 Hub Willis Road, is about 3/4 mile on the left. Turn down the drive to the first house on the left.
