“Over the hills and through the woods to Grandmother’s house we go.” This song may come to mind as you journey to Mahdee and Peggy’s studio nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Ozarks.  Our log home was designed and built by Mahdee in the mid 1980’s and our timber frame studio we built together starting in 2010.  Both of us work full-time in the field of developmental disabilities, but in our spare time and on weekends we are engaged in working the wood or creating other projects. Mahdee is a self-taught woodworker, designing and creating one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture and home décor.  Peggy is a self-taught craftswoman, making projects with wood, mosaic, concrete and other material.

We also make skin-specific bar soaps and grow Shiitake mushrooms on logs from our land.  Harvest time always depends upon the weather.

Directions: From Mountain View take Hwy 14 E. for about 10 miles.  Turn LEFT on Guion Hwy 58 and head north.  Travel over the White River Bridge and continue till you reach the “T” paved road of West Road.  ( if you see “Brooks Tractor Implements”, you went past West Road by a 1/8 mile).  Turn right
on West Road till you see New Home Baptist Church on the left, ( 1/10th of a mile), across from the
church is Lafferty Road, a dirt road.  Continue on dirt road for almost 2.7 miles and stay to the
left of Lafferty Road as you will see a “fork” in the road with a little house at the corner of the fork.  
We are the first black mail box after the fork and have a high incline driveway.
 Watch for the blue and white signs along your journey.
