Welcome! V1

The 18th annual Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour features 32 professional artists’ studios located “off the beaten path” within a 30 mile radius of the Historic Stone County Courthouse Square in Mountain View, Arkansas.  The Tour offers a glimpse inside the private studios of painters, potters, weavers, fiber artists, jewelers, photographers, and more. See how and where the art is created. The Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour is a grass roots event created by a group of working artists and community patrons with shared purpose and vision: to showcase the fine and functional artists in our community.

Our mission is to showcase and increase awareness and appreciation of the Arkansas Ozarks’ finest professional artists, as well as cultural institutions that are “off the beaten path”.

The goal of the Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour is to be recognized locally and nationally as a premier cultural adventure for art lovers and collectors by offering fine work for acquisition while providing an interactive educational experience in working studios, and providing social, cultural and economic development connections between the artists and their communities.

You can easily navigate this website using the menus above. There is a Home page (you’re reading it), a Studios page which will give you the briefest of glimpses at the artists’ works, a Map page which will provide an overview of all of the studios, and a Member List page which lists the members in alphabetical order.

On the Studios page, clicking on any given studio will lead you to a page with information about the artists including contact information. There are also some photographs of their work. Towards the bottom of the page, there are written directions, and a map with a navigation link for those using smartphones.
