I have been involved  in and played around with the arts most of my life, as a graphic designer and illustrator for several different magazines since the 70’s. I have explored several mediums, but it wasn’t until 2009 when physical setbacks helped push me towards a more deliberate and concentrated effort to develop my skills working primarily with pastels.

I am for the most part a self taught artist. In 2010 I was recognized by “The Artist” magazine as runner up in the annual artists competition. Since then I have received numerous local awards as well as international awards for my work and have received two state arts grants to help me pursue my passion.

“I have also taught my craft through numerous art centers throughout southeast Minnesota. I moved to Mountain View, Arkansas in 2018 and been an active member of the Mountain View Arts Guild and exhibited my work in art galleries in northern Arkansas as recently as 2021. My subject matter ranges from wildlife to landscape and portraits. My style can be tight and realistic to loose impressionists. My art studio and surroundings are a display of various forms of art medias to encourage and inspire visitors.
